Are VW Campervans reliable?

All of our vans have been built to the highest specification, with hire in mind, we built them to ensure they where trouble free. So you can enjoy your holiday.

Can I come and have a look?

Yes, but as we only operate a small fleet, it might be worthwhile giving us a call first to check its available to view.

Can I leave my car with you?

Yes, we have car park outside our building, with full 24/7 CCTV

How old do I have to be to hire a camper van from you?

We’re sorry to say that you have to be 24 and less than 75 and have held a full driving licence for two years to drive our campers. These are the requirements of our insurance providers.

Can we have more than one person listed as a driver?

Yes, we know journeys can be long, or you might just want to experience driving one of our van. There’s a small fee of £8 per additional driver to cover our insurance companies admin costs

I’ve got a few points on my licence. Is that going to be a problem?

In most cases no, our insurance providers advise us that less than 6 points is fine (subject to the nature of points. It might be worth while sharing your details with us first so we can check.

Can we take the camper van overseas?

Yes, our insurance companies allows us to provide EU cover, theres a small additional cost of £15 per day to extend the policy as and when required. Please let us know in advance so we can make the arrangements

Do you need a booking deposit?

You do indeed. There’s a non-refundable booking deposit of £150.00 payable before a booking can be confirmed, and the balance of the charges is then due at least 6 weeks before you’re due to hire from us.

Do I need to pay a security deposit?

Yes a security deposit is required, this will be refunded 7days after the campervan is retuned to us in its original state.

How do I go about booking one of your vans?

Simply use our online booking portal, or if you prefer you can give us a call to make your booking.

Can I book additional days?

This isn’t always possible, due to our camper vans being in high demand, let us know if you would like to extend your hire with us, and we will do our best accommodate you, but its not always possible

What documents do I need to provide?

  • We need to see a card driving license for each driver and TWO secondary address IDs that match the address on the license – i.e. utility bill, council tax statement or bank/credit card/mortgage statements dated within 3 months of the hire date. For secondary address IDs most customers download their latest statement from their online accounts for utilities or banks which is really easy!
  • As the paper counterpart license is no longer valid UK license holders need to also supply a DVLA license summary form which shows any points and endorsements on the license. You can download this from the DVLA website.
  • If you have a paper license only, issued before 1998, we also need to see your passport.
  • If travelling to Europe we need to see your passport also.

What about insurance?

Comprehensive motor insurance is included in the basic price, for yours and our peace of mind. If you are unfortunate enough to be in an accident, you’ll have to pay the policy excess which is £500 UK or £750 European.

Is my personal property included in that insurance cover?

Unfortunately this isnt covered in our policy, the terms of our policy stipulates only the van is covered.

Can i bring my dog?

Yes, we love dogs, all we ask is for an additional cleaning fee, so we can have a specialist external valeter neutralise any odours. Please be mindful to take extra care with our vans when taking dogs with you.

What about bikes?

In most cases have a bike rack that fits to the rear door of our vans, there is a small additional cost to cover this

So what else should we be bringing with us?

Our vans come fitted with a gas hob, sink & extra deep fridge. We offer a super packages that provides you with lots of extras, but we recommend bringing your own pillows & duvets. Keep the weather in mind, bring a brolly and wellies if you really need to.

What works on the leisure battery?

The leisure battery is charged up when you’re on the move and will last for about 7 hours. It works the fridge, electric tap, ignition, interior and exterioir awning lights. This means the vehicles main battery is never used for these bits and pieces. We recommend that you plug into a campsite’s electrical hook-up to keep it charged overnight. The electric plug sockets only work off the mains hook up, but the usb chargers work on the battery also.

Do the vans have heating?

Yes our vans are fitted with the latest heaters, they are powered by diesel which is connected the to the vans fuel tank. Complete digital controls allows you to keep the temperature nice and warm. They dont use a great deal of fuel, but please make sure you have fuel in tank. They also blow cold air should it get too hot!

Any idea about any good campsites, that kind of thing?

We recommend you plan your trip in advance, if your running last minute, you can use our maps, computers and tour guides. Or theirs some really great links online that you browse
